Mike has been playing guitar for 38 years.  For teaching, he focuses on acoustic guitar, starting with the new learner or intermediate student.  For the new learner, chord fingerings and strumming are the basics to start with.  For the intermediate student, alternate chord fingerings, rhythms, and fingerpicking are the staples.
